Brothers,

Another Busch Brothers Annual Meeting has come and gone. It was a blast!
As vice president and secretary of our group I offer the following minutes for your approval/correction/addition

Congratulations to the following case club members for 2104= Paul H 26, Paul M 26, Mike 26

Rounding out the field were

Chris 19, Steve 18, James 17, Tex 16, Tony 16, Jon W 16, Jon S 13, Craig 9, Rich 6, Bob 6, Ted 4

See Paul’s report below for more data.

Our Full member meeting began at 1:47 with President James calling the meeting to order and quickly handing the meeting over to Steve and Jon.

We moved to the main objective of the full member meeting and that was discussion and voting for Paul H who was an associate member.   As his mentor, Tony spoke on his behalf followed by Mike and Paul.  We quickly got a 100% favorable vote for Paul H for full member.   We continued our tradition of bringing our new incoming full-member –to-be into the round table member by member words of bb and life wisdom and history and the required full member beer pour for each full member to consume with our new full member.   Paul H. did an outstanding job speaking on his own behalf as well as answering each question and consuming what could be the most ever consumed by a new initiate.  Congrats Paul and we welcome you for a lifetime as our Brother.

Jon initiated a discussion and motion for Chevy Chase to be voted in as Honorary member and it quickly passed.  Welcome Chevy!

Steve and Tex ended with a few suggestions of safety and traditions to follow to make the BBAM injury and accident free.

The BBAM went well and a good time was had by all with all the activities inside and outside including but not limited to great beer, euchre, James’s buffet, Tractor rides, quad rides, motorcycle rides, fireworks, and bonfire.

(A big Thanks goes out to Paul for all the stats and everything else he does including maintaining and accounting for  the Busch Fund as well as picking up a variety of things needed for the meeting and providing the tractors)

(Thanks to James for providing the best spread of food ever for a bbam & serving as President & all his motivation)

(Thanks to Jon W for his planning contributions and presiding over the euchre Tournaments)

(Another big Thanks to Tim Kincer making a $50 donation)

(Also another big Thanks to Paul H for making the largest donation this year of $101)

Editorial and comment and Stats below provided by Brother Paul M.

Brothers,

As you Chief Statistician, I am proud to announce the results of the 2014 BBAM, the Greatest, and Most Electrifying Sporting Event in History.  We have closed out yet another triumphant chapter in the annals of BBAM lore.  And for those of us that climbed the Mountain, we truly tasted glory.   Overall performance, at 218 cans on the wall, was up close to 20% vs. last year.  Strong performance continued with the BBAM 2014 Beer Drinking Champions, Paul H, Paul M and Mike, all making the case at 26 beers per man.  Our other Brothers did not disappoint with Chris (19), Steve (18), James (17), Tex, Tony and Jon W (16 each), and Jon Stevens rounding out the field at 13 in only a few short hours.

With such strong performance in only several hours, one may ask did Jon Stevens take advantage of the nap rule?  It looks like he did fall victim to the nap temptress.  You be the judge.

Notice the instinctual grip on his Busch beer.  Not only does this reduce on spillage, for your older folks eligible for the nap rule, it still counts when you finish the beer and put it on the wall.

Paul Hutchins continued to display his Busch beer drinking prowess with the Rabbit Award (1st to 12) and the 1st to the reach the elusive Case Club (both for the 2nd year in a row).   Jon Stevens won the Pick your Pony for 2014.  He will get a great prize that we will forget to give him next year.

The Euchre tournament was dominated by Bob (1st) and Steve (2nd), with Paul M and Tex finishing tied for 3rd.

Many donations were made to the Busch Fund.  Thanks to all for donating and for those that gave large sums: Paul Hutchens, Bob Sherwood, Tim Kincer (even though he could not make it).  We provided a nice donation to the House Fund to Rich for letting us use his palatial estate.

In closing, I leave you with these thoughts:

If everything seems under control, you’re not drinking enough Busch

Faithfully submitted,

Paul M.
